I read this junior or senior year at BGSU. It's pretty weird at the beginng, with the story from the perspective of Benjy, who's an "idiot". It's hard to read unless you just keep going and don't think about it too much. I find that if I do that, a picture starts to emerge. Now I'm towards the end of the book, where you're in the head of Benjy's brother: a bitter, racist prick. It's pretty chilling, but it resonates in a lot of ways for me.
