This is the YouTube about the oil spill I told you guys about a while back.
So what do you say we start blogging a story? We could each contribute a episodes; each would be blog posts. What do you think?
We had a bunch of people over. Had a great time grilling hot dogs and burgers, talking, playing guitar.
Hi Rik,
Hmmm. The PDF opens fine for me at work and at home. Would you give it one more shot? Maybe saving it to the desktop first would make a difference. (Not that it matters, other than to my obsessive-compulsive disorder). That is a bummer about the car. I didn’t know you’d taken the plunge. And now this. Geeze. Won’t insurance help with it? I sent it to Chic. Now, I’ve got another thing I’d like you guys to try if you get a chance. (Oh boy!) This is a do-it-yourself website and blog (called “Weebly.com”) that is very highly recommended, and is free, with a fee for certain features. I set up a starter that you can view (and add blog posts, if you want) here: http://rx3ohmtwa.weebly.com/ (rx3ohmtwa: get it? 3 R’s, Ohio, Montana, Washington) I set it up with the name “Geezer Club” but it could be whatever. The header image is one I took of Sycamores on the Olentangy, but that could also be whatever. You can add, remove features, pictures, text, or even files, mostly just by dragging and dropping. Go ahead and change/add whatever you want. I’ve spent about 30 minutes on it, and it really goes a lot faster than other ways of doing websites. To try it out, go to this address: http://www.weebly.com , and log in using the User name and password I emailed to you. When you finish adding to and/or changing the site, you have to click “Publish” (upper right) so that it takes effect. When you do, a popup trys to get you to s I also set up a blog (part of our website), which you can post to, and it has an archive and an “RSS” feed (It’s REALLY easy to set up blogs. You can have as many as you want). You can add a lot of cool features with “drag and drop”. If we decide we like it, we can pay a fee and get access to cool “Pro” features (one of them is an audio file player), maybe the most important “Pro” feature is the ability to require a passworded login to view the site (that way, we could write whatever and be sure that it would be private.) The price for that would be 6 months for $4.58/month OR 1 year for $3.99/month OR 2 years for $2.99/month. Anyway, we can just use the free version for now. Let me know what you think. (Rik, when you get a chance I’d like to know how it measures up for your needs...) Rob
